RFP/01/20-21

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Proposals with quotations are hereby requested for assessment of the building Electrical Network at risk for Repairs of power plugs network and installation of new additional power plugs in the CHDA offices, common areas, Conference room and Meeting room only by suitably qualified and certified electricians according to the following details, objections and requirements:

  • The CHDA offices premises are situated at number 15 Warner Street, Southbourne in Komani;
  • The CHDA building electrical network should be assessed at risk for maintenance repairs, for safety purposes and for work operations convenience;
  • New additional power plugs installation should be proposed and installed in agreement with the Client for work operations convenience;
  • Only service providers that are registered with the CIDB for Grade 1 EB or Higher are required to respond to this RFP;
  • Proof that the service provider’s electrician is qualified for the verification and certification of building electrical installations should be submitted in order for any proposal to be considered;
  • The contracted service provider must provide a Health and Safety Plan and will be held liable for all Health and Safety project matters and incidents;
  • An amount to the value of 10% of the contract amount will be set aside/ retained for a period of three (3) months after the project completion as material and workmanship guarantee;
  • Only relevant proposals from service providers that have submitted proof of a minimum of three (3) completed similar projects with details of contactable projects’ referees will be considered;
  • Interested Electrical Building Works services providers must make Site Inspection appointments with Mr K. Hlazo for the assessment of the building electrical network at risk before the preparation of the required proposals through Tel. No. 045 807 4000 between 09H00 to 14H00 before the closing date of this RFP.

Suppliers must take particular note of the following:

  • COMPULSORY SUBMISSION DOCUMENTS, EVEN IF THEY WERE SUBMITTED BEFORE;

 

  • Written Commitment of rendering the required services within 07 days after the official appointment must be provided
  • Certificate of Completion (COC) will be required at the end of the project
  • Service providers are required to conduct a Site Inspection before making their proposals & quotations
  • Submit a copy of the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration summary report
  • Service providers should also complete & submit the MBD 4 form to declare the interest of the Directors of the Company
  • Submit the valid B-BBEE certificate
  • Submit a valid Tax Clearance Certificate /Pin
  • If a supplier is not a VAT vendor, VAT must not be included, otherwise all the prices must include VAT.

Evaluation criteria (Only applicable to quotations equal to/ above R 30 000.00)

  • This is an 80/20 preference points system quotation
  • Price is allocated up to 80 points
  • B-BBEE is allocated up to 20 points
